Gerald’s Southern Chowder

 

Makes about 6 quarts.

 

Ingredients:

          1 box                     (Betty Crocker or store brand) Scallop Potatoes

          1 box           (Betty Crocker or store brand) Potatoes Au Gratin

                    (You may substitute any 2 flavors of potato casserole mix)

          1 package          frozen mixed vegetables

          2 cups  milk

          1 package          kielbasa (cut into small pieces)

 

Combine the dry potato mixes in a 6-quart cooking pot.  Cover (barely) with water and simmer 10 minutes.  Add the package of frozen mixed vegetables, with enough water to barely cover the ingredients, simmer 5 minutes.  Add the 2 flavor packages from the potato mixes, milk and kielbasa.  Simmer 10 to 15 minutes and serve.
