Fast and Easy Chili
Ingredients:
2 pounds of ground beef
1 large can (about 30 ounces) of black
beans
1 large can (about 30 ounces) of red
kidney beans
1 large can (about 30 ounces) of whole
pealed tomatoes
1 regular can (about 15 ounces) of
diced tomatoes
2 small cans (about 5 ounces each)
chopped green chilies
2 fresh bell peppers (chopped)
2 fresh sweet onions (chopped)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 – 1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 tablespoons minced garlic
Dash of Tabasco Sauce
1 – 3 whole fresh jalapeno pepper
In
a large pan on the stovetop heat the olive oil adding the garlic, onion and
bell pepper. Cook until the onion and
bell pepper are soft. Add the ground
beef and cook until brown then add the remainder of the ingredients. Lower heat and simmer for about 1 hour. Serve with or without rice. You can adjust the spices to your own
taste. I usually add a little more
Tabasco.
