Chocolate Chip Cookies
2
sticks butter (1/2 pound)
¾ cup
sugar
¾ cup
brown sugar (light or dark) firmly packed
2
medium or large eggs
2 ½
cups flour
1-teaspoon
baking soda
2
teaspoons real vanilla or vanilla extract
1
package (12 – 16 ounces) chocolate chips
In
a large mixing bowl combine the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Sift together the flour and baking soda and
add it to the mixture. Stir until
mixed. Add in the vanilla and mix
thoroughly. Finally stir in the
chocolate chips.
Preheat
the oven to 350 degrees.
Drop
large tablespoons of the cookie mix onto an ungreased baking sheet about 2
inches apart. A 9X12 cookie sheet should
hold 12 cookies without them running together.
Place in the preheated oven and cook about 10 to 12 minutes (or until
done). Don’t over cook.
